Volunteer Income Tax Program (VITA) provider for FY 2007. The VITA Program offers free tax help to low- to moderate-income (generally, $39,000 and below) individuals in preparing their own tax returns. We, also provide free electronic filing.

The Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) Program provider FY 2007. The LITC Program provides free outreach services to low- to moderate-income individuals as well as individuals who speak English as a second language (ESL) by educating these individuals about their rights and responsibilities as taxpayers. This is done through educational workshops, seminars and classroom sessions on the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), the Child Tax Credit, Individual Tax Identification Numbers (ITIN), multilingual tax initiatives, financial literacy and federal compliance issues, etc.

Our comprehensive financial literacy program utilizes counseling, classroom sessions, seminars, workshops, and one-on-one contact with clients to assist individuals and families with personal finance goals (developing a spending plan/budget), understanding credit scores, how to read credit files, and debt load ratios, etc.

We provide programs and services that enhance capacity building to groups, industry sectors, communities, and government agencies. Capacity Building is external and/or internal processes designed to help individuals and groups appreciate and manage their changing circumstances, with the objective of improving the stock of human, social, financial, physical and natural capital in an ethically sound manner. The results are improved skills, knowledge, motivation, commitment and confidence through training and technical assistance.
